But we believe that obsession will translate into a pretty awesome gym experience. Whether you’re novice or expert, we have something to support your fitness level and your goals.
CO-OWNER & HEAD COACH, CF-L2
With over 15 years of experience as a personal trainer and fitness expert, Jeremy is thrilled to be opening his second CrossFit gym after relocating from Las Vegas to Colorado Springs. He discovered the profound benefits of functional training after incorporating CrossFit into his personal training programming, and has never looked back.
His first gym, CrossFit New You proved to be a life-changing venture that blossomed into the New You Challenge, a program now utilized by over 1,000 CrossFit gyms worldwide. He has also been fortunate enough to work and coach alongside athletes in the industry including CrossFit Games athletes Elijah Muhammed and Tommy Hackenbruck.
Jeremy enjoys reading and researching all things fitness and CrossFit, eating food, and playing at the park with pups Turtle and Lula.

Lawrence met Jeremy while working out alongside him at another gym, and the two became fast friends. Lawrence shares a passion for functional movement and training and has over 10 years of experience as a personal trainer and health coach. He enjoys working with individuals of all fitness levels who want to improve both their physical and mental health.
Lawrence enjoys anything that involves staying active and living a healthy lifestyle. Outside of the gym, you're likely to find him hunting, golfing, at the batting cages, or spending time with his daughter, Raya.

CO-OWNER & NUTRITIONIST
Stephanie is a holistic whole-food Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Mind-Body Nutrition Coach and offers a variety of resources and services to our members including discounted one-on-one nutrition counseling.
Stephanie is also a nutrition counselor at her private practice Whole Balance Health where she specializes in working with compulsive eating, chronic dieting, and body-image challenges using an anti-diet approach. She is currently working on her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as she pursues licensure as a Licensed Practical Counselor (LPC).
Stephanie enjoys cooking, reading, drinking coffee, Netflix binges with boyfriend Jeremy (above), and chasing after pups Turtle and Lu.

I started training in CrossFit during my senior year while I was playing basketball at the Air Force Academy and have now been coaching CrossFit for 4 years.
I received my Level 1 Certification in 2014 and started coaching at Lightning CrossFit in Florida. I later coached at Bombers CrossFit in Ohio until moving to Colorado Springs last year, and I’m super excited to be coaching again!
I received my CrossFit Level 2 Certification in September of 2018, and I also have the USAW L1 Sports Performance Certification and the Precision Nutrition L1 Certification.
I have a love and passion for education and teaching, and Aside from coaching CrossFit, I am an Operations Research Analyst in the Air Force and currently teach in the math department at the AF Academy.
“If you like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain…” Then you’re just like me! Besides spending time wishing it would rain more in Colorado Springs, I am a full time student at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) where I competed in collegiate track and am en route to receiving my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
When I’m in classes I spend most of my time thinking about fitness, whether it’s the trail I’ll run that weekend or the workouts I’ll be doing throughout the week. It has been that way since I started CrossFit almost three years ago. Winter is my favorite season thanks to my love for skiing. In an ideal world, I would be able to ski downhill to work each morning and ride a lift back to my house at the end of the day.

I lost 75lbs. since I started training at a high intensity. That changed my life and now I like to use my fitness to hike, snowboard, hunt, fish, compete in disc golf, and pretty much anything else that involves being outside in the mountains. I’m also a IYCA Youth Speed & Agility Specialist and have been training with CrossFit and functional fitness since 2011.

I have been loving CrossFit since the day I started back in June 2013. Walking through those doors for the first time took a ton of courage, but it was one of the best choices I’ve ever made, hands down. The combination of constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity was all it took to get me hooked. I love the physical and mental challenge that’s inherent in each and every workout. I have benefitted immensely from the personal growth CrossFit has afforded me in every aspect of my life, not just in the gym. I truly love all things CrossFit, and burpees are my favorite movement (not kidding).
I earned my CF-L1 in 2015 and then followed that up in 2016 with the CrossFit Weightlifting and the CrossFit Kids certifications. I love coaching CrossFit and I’m excited and honored to be part of the team at Controlled Chaos.
When I’m not in the gym, I work in IT and enjoy reading, learning, listening to podcasts and music, hiking, hanging with my dogs (miniature schnauzers are the best!), spending time with family and friends, being a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, and doing everything possible to be the best I can be in life.

Like so many, I have always been active...all-state tennis in high school, high altitude mountaineering along with rock and ice climbing in college, and softball and downhill skiing for who knows how long.
I started weight lifting when applying for the fire service in 2000 and was a fire/medic for seven years before heading off to become a Physician Assistant. Loving medicine, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, biochemistry, and physical activity, I have had the privilege of working as both a PA-C MS (Physician Assistant Masters of Science in Clinical Medicine with PhD coming in 2019) and Personal trainer ACSM, CF-L1.
Five years ago I set a goal to be as "Fit at Forty" as possible and decided to train for a Spartan race. Ultimately, I just wanted to grow old WELL. How to begin? I participated in daily running, weight lifting, (even a step class, oh geez!) and completed a half triathlon when my daughter was just 14 months old. However, my progress was plateauing, my knees were hurting, and I was spending a LOT of time doing more cardio, more weights, etc.
Enter my first CrossFit experience and I was hooked! Why? Because it's fun and it's effective. I love coaching athletes of ALL phases of fitness. I want to promote CrossFit as a safe, fun, and efficient atmosphere. I really like that it's a welcoming place for EVERYONE. Controlled Chaos is full of professionalism balanced with realism. Ahhh.. What a relief! CrossFit just never runs out of challenges, always offers a few laughs, and consistently propagates positive energy and camaraderie. Even if you've NEVER been active, please come try out a few classes...you're in for a delight. I'm happy to do a personal training session just for you!
My other interests include horseback riding, natural medicine, bible study, and prayer work. I am a military and firefighter wife, mom, and homemaker... you know how it goes. Hope to see you soon!
